THE ENGLISH CEMETERY
 
 
 
 
Buildt in the XIX century in the city of Malaga , Spain .It is located in the Cañada de los Ingleses  , in the down town district ,at number 1 Príes Avenue .This is the first Protestant cemetery in Spain , built in 1831.
Since 1850 there is a chapel located in the complex ,the chapel of St George, the first protestant church built in Spain, to meet the spiritual needs of British .
One on the first tombs that housed the cemetery was that of Robert Boyd´s, a liberal Young Irishman who accompanied Torrijos ,shot in 1831 on the beaches of San Andrés .Other important people resting there are Guillén ,British Gerald Brenan and his wife ,American writer  Gamel Woolsey ,and the German victims of the sinking of the ship gneisenau.
It was declared a cultural heritage in 2012.
